Academy 9U – 12U

The Academy program is designed for U9-U12 players and focuses on building a solid soccer foundation with an emphasis on long-term development. Led by professional full-time staff, training follows the U.S. Soccer Federation’s “Game Related” methodology. This curriculum is designed to progress from a 7v7 format to a 9v9 format over four years, preparing players for a seamless transition into the Select Program (U13), where the focus gradually incorporates results as a measure of success.

  • Establish a strong foundation for U9-U12 players with a focus on long-term development.
  • Foster a genuine love and passion for the game, ensuring an enjoyable and engaging experience.
  • Enhance players’ technical skills, ball control, and spatial awareness through progressive training. 

 

Age Group: 8-11

Coach Keith Gunn, Savannah United

Keith Gunn is a Scottish FA and U.S.S.F. licensed coach with over 25 years of experience as a coach and director. He played in the Scottish Juniors League before moving on to coaching with Dundee United, a Scottish Premier League Club. He also holds a Coerver Coaching Diploma.
